Palm Springs Walk of Stars


The Palm Springs Walk of Stars is located in the Southern California City of Palm Springs. Palm Springs is located in Riverside County which is part of the Coachella Valley. The city is located approximately 112 miles east of the city of Los Angeles and 140 miles northeast of San Diego. Palm Springs is a fairly small city with a population around 50,000 residents. It is a very popular tourist and seasonal destination because of the warm weather and abundance of activities.

The Palm Springs Walk of Stars is located in the city's downtown area and pays homage to over 300 celebrities. The Walk follows along Canyon Drive, Museum Way, and Tahquitz Way. The celebrities with stars both among the living and the deceased and include stars from the past and present. Some of the celebrities include Shirley Temple, Buddy Rogers, Elvis Presley, Gene Autry, Elizabeth Taylor, former Palm Springs mayor Sonny Bono, President Ronald Reagan, President Gerald Ford, and many more.

The Walk of Stars began dedicating stars in 1992 and has done so every year. The Walk of Stars is one of the major tourist attractions in Palm Springs and is usually a hub of activity. There are several restaurants and retail shops along the streets that make up the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
