Parker Canyon Lake


Located off of Highway 92, the Park Canyon Lake is a great destination for those who want to hike, fish, look for birds, or just enjoy nature. There is no fee for entry into the area, but if you plan to stay overnight camping, a fee is required. The lake features a variety of activities at its 5,300 foot elevation. Tucked into the hills of the area, the lake is surrounded by oak trees, grassy clearings, and the mountains in the distance of the Arizona skyline. The lake is 132 acres and is regularly stocked with sunfish, rainbow trout, bass, and catfish. Boating is allowed in areas of the lake with several areas of ramp access, and there are numerous locations great for swimming. There is a trail that winds along the lake and a hike around the area will reveal a number of unique bird species and various other wildlife. Nearby the area is a store where you can purchase a variety of supplies that will help you through an evening of camping.
