Silverado Trading Post

Owners Jeff and Candy Mack founded the Silverado Trading Post in 1995. They specialize in antiques, especially those related to primitive arts and crafts as well as artifacts representative of the old West. These pieces are complemented by a line of original-design, handmade items, including country furniture, garden décor, water fountains and accessories.

The Macks' pursuit of unique, high-quality merchandise has led to the development of an extensive sourcing network throughout the United States. Their antiques can be viewed within the Silverado Trading Post's rustic store and outdoor showroom covering one and a half acres. Also on site are pieces of architectural salvage from Europe as well as San Francisco and New York, such as 9-foot doors and huge iron gates.

Strolling the property is like taking a walk through America's past. So authentic are the Silverado Trading Post's items that they have been featured in movies and television shows. For example, numerous pieces were provided for HBO's hit TV series "Deadwood."

The Silverado Trading Post is located off Interstate 15 between Temecula and Escondido at 4811 5th Street, Rainbow, California 92028-9791. The hours of operation are from 11am to 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays and from 10am to 5pm on weekends. Newly arrived antiques are premiered on Sundays.
