The Pause, and AA

Some years ago I wrote an essay on what I call "the Pause." Meaning: some of us should listen, pause, ponder, and only then think or do. The same seems to be true of writing.

In fact the above seems like good advice in-general. Usually when I free-associate verbally, people grow a bit puzzled, quickly. I'm something of an odd duck and don't seem to mentally process like others.

To wit: decades ago, I gave up drinking. Fortunately, it was easy enough...

This post is about cars, men, and middle aged thoughts. Stay awhile, if that appeals. I'll use Porsche lingo, too, hoping it makes sense to at least a few readers.

Porsche makes a marvelous car called the 911. An amusingly coincidental number to Americans for two obvious reasons: one about emergency help, the other a national tragedy from 2001. A number that strikes a bit of alarm, and unease. As a product, though, it evokes one feeling only from those in the know: pure driving...
