Last night as we lay in bed I told him I thought it may have been a bad day, but turned out to be a pretty good day. I was laying there, resting my head on his chest as he had his left arm wrapped around me. He asked, "Why is that?"

I told him it was the anniversary of my fathers death day, it was 17 years since his passing. I think I thought of it more the day before the actual day, dreading its coming. Once again, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, I did just fine....

Again I woke to gentle kisses upon my cheek and a hand running through my hair. A smile crossed my face as my eyes opened. It didn't take long for them to get used to the darkness of the room and there he was, smiling at me.

He makes me feel engulfed in love and happiness and I truly don't ever want that to end. We walk together into the living room and he stops there as I head on to the kitchen to find my favorite coffee cup sitting there on the counter, waiting for the coffee...

He hugs me and holds me tight and looks into my eyes. I can see the happiness in his smile, but more importantly, in his eyes. It makes me very happy to know that he is every bit as happy as I am.

Moving my hair from my face and caressing my chin he kisses me goodbye and tells me he loves me.

I am not sure if it gets any better than this, but I think it must. I think this way every day and it always gets better.

He just makes me feel so loved, in everything he does.....

It was about four days ago or so and he was getting ready for work. I lay on the couch all covered up and he came over to me and knelt in front of me and took my face in his hands and kissed me several times. I so love when he does that. I must have started to fall asleep because a bit later he came up to me and kissed me again, and told me it was another one for the road...

I have a certain afghan I use when I snuggle up on the couch. It is one that my mother made for me before...
