"You Don't know me"

Posted 04-19-2013 at 11:24 PM by Chowhound

As I listen to that song done by many artist, "You don't know me".. It resonates with me, as I don't know "me"... at least I haven't for most of my life.

One of the things about myself I've learned over the last few yrs is that I seem to view the world in an odd way. Don't know if it is a good thing or not. I see parallels in everything I can often see the complete opposites in things that are similar it's hard to describe.... I see patterns in the way people speak, their mannerisms, subtle nuances. Sometimes I can mimic someone pretty easily, often with just a few simple observations.

I seem to make people laugh.... sometimes by trying and other times... by simply voicing my "observations"... without really trying to.... I don't think I'm funny like Woody Allen or George Carlin, but I think I fall in the vien of those guys in terms of observations..... IDK...

I don't have a lot in life about myself I can crow about...

Maybe I can do a little crowing here......

Sounds like a nice gift if you can learn to embrace it.
