This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

My Son's room is almost done.
Brother in law is going to finish up the mudding and taping of the drywall we all hung...(he wasnt doing it 'fast enough' for my Wife, so she insisted that my Son and I do our part LOL... I told her, "Im paying 'him' to do it!! Didnt cut no ice, she wants it done NOW!!).

Daughter has a new boyfriend again, (this one is an out of towner too, so I dont expect it to last long). I keep telling her to get a 'local boy', so that he wont have travel time, and wont have to relocate, in case you finally get 'serious' about one of them.

She also is better now, after her car accident.
Got another car to drive around in, so we dont see her much anymore, except to shower and sleep LOL...girls, worse than boys if you ask me.

Wife has been sleeping on the couch for a month now, while my Son sleeps in her bed, and I can see why she is getting grouchy now! Course, the couch is a lot softer than her 'slab' that she sleeps on...(I keep telling her, that she is ready for the morgue, the way that bed is so hard, like sleeping on concrete!!!). Hopefully, by the end of the week, my Son will be in his room again
if not, then there maybe trouble in 'river city' LOL

Gotta get the cherry tree chopped down now. Called a tree guy and he said 250 to cut and haul away. Probably is about right, since it took a team of guys, the last time I called about 20+ years ago, and they charged me 300 for six trees. (They were very happy for getting all that wood too, for thier fire places).

Shame, the birds got the cherrys, on the same day we decide to pick them all out!!
Brother in law, came with a huge pot, and was ready to 'go to town', but, came in and told us that the tree was picked clean! WHAAAA??? It was hard to believe, but, they did it all in one morning, sheesh. Stripped every cherry off, and in some cases, just left the seed hanging on the tree!
I always told my Wife, the birds get the first harvest, (top of the tree), and we get whats left, but, when nothing is left, well that really annoyed all of us, sheesh...

Been going to the Chiropractor for two months now, three times a week. Aint never going to be out of pain, but, if I can have more 'mobility', and get out of a chair, or bed easier, then its worth it.

Went to the YMCA only once this week, so far, and only expect to go one more time, since I hate to go twice in a row, (just too tiring for me, cause it wears my heart down too much).
Cut down to two pain meds when I go there, cause I got tired of coming home and sleeping for four to six hours afterwards!!
Really annoying, and the two pills seem to be working out ok for now, as I only sleep for a couple of hours afterwards, (cause if I dont, Im bushed for the entire day, so, I cant fight the sleep).

Wife got done with Vacation Bible School this week. Fortunately, we had enough of everything, (always my greatest fear, of not having enough, and some kid goes away, dissapointed, never to return again).
Dont know how many kids will come back to Church, but, at least I did my part to help.

Wife is cooking the 'feast' tonight, at the Church. She figures about 50 kids will show up, and thats about 4 pounds of spaghetti, and a few jars of sauce, plus, salad, and cup cakes we made last night, plus juice to drink. They have been doing this for years now, and the kids come, and are unrully, and they have driven the grownups away from the feast! What a shame, but, if you dont have 'new blood' then the Church will go down, and I have seen a lot of that happen lately. Old folks have to realize, they cant sustain a Church on thier own, because after they go, who is going to be left to worship? Every Church needs new 'blood', or the younger crowd to come in. Sure, if a kid has never been to Church, they will be unruly, because they dont know how to act... Everyone has to learn the rules of the road, and no one should be turned away, unless they are so unruly that they disrupt everyone else from learning about the LORD. Still, I wouldnt turn them away, just give them extra instruction with only a few people to help out.

What gets me is, I see kids going to Church, then go out and do everything that they are taught, not to do, and think its ok! Some day, they will have to learn, you walk the walk that you talk about, but, usually that doesnt happen until they get old enough to have kids of thier own and be responsible adults, (hopefully, if they get enough guidance from everyone to 'be' responsible).

OK, 'nuff said for today. Im rambling, and my Wife just left to go get some vegetables, while I have to watch the corn bread for the chillie that she is making in the crock pot.

I wish you well....
