Crimes I Remember

Posted 02-10-2015 at 09:12 PM by aliasfinn

There are certain crimes that I have read about or saw on the news that for whatever reason are planted in my memory. This first one was on my local news tonight.

Thieves have stolen metal I-beams weighing 3000 lbs and 8000 lbs from a construction site, 20,000 lbs total were taken. I bet these guys don't have jobs, they stay in the gym all day lifting weights and then go out at night stealing 3000 lb I-beams.

I read about this one years ago. A cop spotted two kids, ages 9 and 11 pulling a wagon down an alley with a safe inside it at 7am. I remember the cop saying it just looked too suspicious.

A man walked out of a bank after just robbing it and climbed into his car and turned the key and it wouldn't start, turned out someone had stolen his battery while his car was in the parking lot. That's when getaway drivers come in handy.

A woman got tired of her unemployed 20 year old son sleeping all day and managed to get him an interview with a company she heard about. I guess he didn't have high hopes about getting hired because after his interview he was caught holding up a hardware store on his way home.
