Does Volcker Have it Right?

Paul Volcker, the former Fed Chairman gave a rare interview last week and I expected him to talk about economic issues. Instead he said the real issues and threat to human existence was global warming which has already led to massive migration.
Mix in drought, famine and bad political environments plus the population explosion [ 4 babies born every second, which leads to 345,600 per day ] and you have an untendable situation.
Europe has already absorbed tens of millions with thousands more finding their way across borders every week. For instance Germany [ which is about the size of Montana ] now has some ten million immigrants inside their borders; France five million and England about three million. Little Sweden has taken in over 800,000 and so it goes. Right now over two million refugees from Syria are being kept in tent cities in the hinterlands of Turkey because other countries just do not have space for them.
What would you do if you were in a position of leadership? How would you go about resolving this massive, world wide problem? Does the church have an answer? Is it even aware of the problem? I continue to listen in on about ten sermons per week to see what is on the mind of the preachers. Having heard, at least part of some 500 hundred sermons this past year I can tell you that none of issues raised above are on their minds.
