What motivated me to understand more about Islam is this,

Besides the above, there are a wide range of other evils and violence committed by SOME Muslims.
As a concerned citizen of humanity and adopting certain Bodhisattva Vows, I am interested in contributing ideas to deal with this malignant problem which is committed by SOME Muslims quoting the Quran to justify their evils and violence.
To be credible I just cannot blame the Quran just because SOME evil prone Muslims quoted verses from the Quran, this is why I took the trouble to understand the Quran to find out how those evil prone Muslims are influenced and inspired by the verses in the Quran.
After extensive research my initial conclusion is the Quran do play a serious part [not wholly] in influencing and inspiring SOME evil prone Muslims [not all Muslims] to commit terrible evils and violence around the world.
I don't blame the evil prone Muslims who were unfortunately born with evil tendencies of various degrees.
I am sure you are familiar the hypothesis I have formulated for my project.
