The Cricket Kid

Posted 03-12-2017 at 04:48 PM by aliasfinn

I can remember back in school when we were taking a test in class and it was deathly quiet. All the kids were busy writing and the teacher was at her desk reading a book. Suddenly, the sound of a cricket chirping was heard. I looked around the floor but didn't see anything, then noticed the guy sitting across from me was looking at me and grinning. He was making that noise but you couldn't tell because his mouth was closed and he was just vibrating his lips, and the sound didn't seem to come from him, almost like a ventriloquist that throws his voice. The teacher stopped reading her book and asked, " Is that cricket in here? " All the kids began looking under their desks, including the guy that was making the noise. He had to make it look good. There was a janitor in that classroom the next day with a can of Raid, he was pulling the cabinets away from the wall and spraying. I had that kid show me how to make that cricket noise but I never could do it.
