Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Sometimes, Preparing A Post Can Be Frustrating

Interesting to note that I just spent over an hour trying to do a Scattershooting column for the reading masses out there. I had just finished the article and all I needed to do was preview the writing. So I saved it via the preview icon, and....
........got an error message with some security statement on there.
I should have taken time to save everything I've written, because when I went back to my page in the hopes that everything will still be on there. It wasn't.
All that work that was done in over an hour's time..... gone. I won't have time to re-do the thing, so I'll have to do it later. Goes to show you that, sometimes, because of craziness within the technical aspects of this website, it gets a little frustrating trying to put things together. The shame of it is, this is not the first time this has happened. Oh, sometimes, any part of a computer or any server can have their "moments". This website also has its moments, too. Freezing up. Error boxes. So what if the content is three paragraphs or a full page with lots of text? Yes, Scattershooting posts are usually much longer than my average posts. It didn't matter. Gone was all the writing for another column. Sixty minutes of thoughts and expressions down the drain.
Writers have a way with life's curves.

Here's a tip: Save all of your work. I saved from time to time on the thing tonight, but I needed to save the entire thing at the end. Oops.
