Tired of PARTISAN politics

Posted 10-12-2008 at 11:26 PM by GraniteStater
In this election cycle I am really getting sick of partisan politics where one side blames the other. I think part of the problem is that we still LACK a solid 3rd party candidate like we had back in 1992 with Ross Perot. You never hear anything about Ron Paul anymore! The mainstream media tried to silence him whenever possible-- it seemed. I think partisan politics and one side against the other is continuing to divide the US in many ways. I am still not entirely sure which candidate I will vote for in this upcoming election since I am a registered Indpendent, and therefore consider a wide array of stances that both candidates believes in. I will be closely watching and scrutinizing the final debate...

This system needs to be less reliant on parties at all. Seriously, party affiliation is what divides this country. No one is forcing you to vote one way or the other, you do it yourself. There needs to be less talk of "republicans this" and "democrats that" and more unity.
