Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

NYC Blackout Exposes The Reason Democrats Are NOT The Party Of Compassion

Just spotted a headline on FOX News' website regarding New York City's blackout which took place yesterday. It dealt with some interesting details about what took place during a local crisis.........and also what should have taken place.
New York City, seemingly the epicenter of world commerce, had a transformer catch fire last night, affecting thousands of electric customers who needed help right away. And where was their hapless mayor when this was going on? None other than Iowa, where he is one of way too many Democrats running for President (and, basically, having no chance against a winning economy). But Bill deBlasio had to think about it before leaving Iowa. He shouldn't have thought it; he should have done a quick 50-yard dash back to the Big Apple to show concern and support for his citizenry. More in the link below:

Wow, he's even got Governor Andrew Cuomo all over him for not taking immediate action! That's surprising, coming from political figures in a state that supports infanticide with vigorous applause. New York City's mayor had to think it over. It shows you that deBlasio, a Democrat just like New York's sorry governor, confirms everything I've said about the Democrat Party regarding one of their fallacies. They say they're the "party of compassion". Boy, was that not true yesterday. From Barack Obama to Eric Garcetti to Gavin Newsom to Ted Wheeler to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Bill deBlasio, and many, many other Dems, they don't really care about fellow Americans. None of them.
