Corrective action: Pools/spas shall be provided with handholds such as coping, rope, railing, ledge or deck along top edge of pool which provides slip-resistant surfaces. Pools/spas shall be provided with ladders, stairs or seat ledges that comply with handhold requirements and state standards. The ring buoy shall be repaired or properly attached and maintained. At each Class C pool, one light, strong, non-telescoping, non-conducting 12 foot long or longer pole with attached body hook or shepherd's crook and one throwing rope that reaches at least 2/3 the maximum pool width with firmly attached 15 - 24 inch Coast Guard approved ring buoy shall be mounted in a conspicuous place within 20 feet of the pool. Both shall be provided for each 2,000 square feet of water surface and shall be accessible.
