    Corrective action: The pool/spa shall be closed immediately. The pumps shall be shut off and shall remain closed until the main drain grate or the anti-vortex suction outlet is properly repaired or replaced and is functioning properly and any missing, broken or loose suction outlet covers or grates are repaired or replaced with anti-vortex covers or grates that comply with ASME/ANSI A112.19.8M R96 "Suction Fittings......". ATTACH DRAIN COVER. REPLACE SCREWS. (PROVIDE EXTRA SCREWS-BRASS OR STAINLESS.)
  • Pool Yard Enclosures
    TSSP&S 265.200 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Pool Yard Enclosures, pages 60 - 62 and FW Ordinance #12156-Sec 16.459-462 (Sep 12, 1995). Pool yard enclosures shall be designed, constructed, installed and maintained to comply with all applicable provisions of City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Adequate gates/doors are not provided. GATE IS DAMAGED AND NOT SELF CLOSING. GAPS IN FENCE DUE TO DAMAGE.
    Corrective action: All gates or doors for pools and spas (other than new Class A & B pools) shall be lockable and equipped with self-locking and self-latching devices. An inaccessible opener mounted on the enclosure shall be installed at least 3.5 feet above the deck/walkway surface, shall open outward away from the pool/spa and shall be latched when the pool or spa is not in use or when nearby or associated pools/spas are closed as a result of a hazard or other unsafe condition. All ingress and egress to access a pool or spa shall be through common pool enclosure gates or doors. ENSURE GAPS DO NOT EXCEED 4 INCHES.
  • Fort Worth Ordinance
    A conspicuously posted sign stating "Diaper Changing in the pool/spa area is Prohibited" is not provided. Weekly inspection of Pool yard enclosure and gates are not recorded. Weekly inspection of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter not recorded. Operational records of emergency telephone test results are not maintained.
    Corrective action: A sign visible from the pool or spa enclosure shall state in letters at least 2" in height "Diaper Changing in the Pool/Spa area is Prohibited". Condition of Pool yard enclosure and gates shall be inspected and recorded weekly and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request. Inspection of working Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter for pool/spa equipment shall be tested and recorded at least one time per week and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request. Emergency Telephone operation shall be tested and recorded monthly and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request.
  • Disinfectant Equipment and Chemical Feeders
    TSSP&S 265.197 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Disinfectant Equipment and Chemical Feeders, pages 48 - 49; TDSPSPC 337.92 (Eff Jun 13, 1965). Disinfectant equipment and chemical feeders shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Disinfection agents and other chemicals are not properly stored. CHEMICALS ON FLOOR.
    Corrective action: Disinfection agents or other chemicals and feed equipment shall be stored away from pool and spa users, off the floor in a dry, above ground level room and protected against flooding or wetting from floor, walls, and ceiling. Chlorine compounds shall not be stored in the same area as petroleum products. ELEVATE CHEMICALS.
  • CLOSURE NOTICE
    You are hereby notified that you must take immediate action to close your pool to the public until appropriate corrective actions are taken to safeguard the public from hazards detailed above in this report.
    Serious health violations were identified during today's health inspection. You must close your pool immediately to the public until appropriate corrective actions are completed.
    Corrective action: Before the facility named in this report can reopen for swimming pool/spa operations to the public, the owner/operator must take immediate corrective action to correct identified hazards and request a re-inspection by a Code Compliance Consumer Health Specialist. A fee of $125.00 will be required before any re-inspection may be conducted. Payment shall be made at 1800 University Dr. Room 219, Fort Worth, TX 76107 or by phone at 817-871-7255. Each re-inspection will require the fee be paid prior to the Consumer Health Specialists return. The closed pool/spa must meet minimum standards before it can be re-opened.
