The Texas Standards of Public Pools and Spas require all pools/spas to have upgraded their main drains to comply with the standards effective 1/1/5. If your facility does not comply with the Texas Standards then the pool/spa shall remain closed until the upgrades have been completed and the pool/spa has been inspected. The Standards of Public Pools and Spas can be accessed at ' http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/poolspa/docs/poolrules.doc. The City of Fort Worth ordinance can be accessed at ' www.municode.com . Copies of the Public Swimming Pool and Spa Ordinance and the Texas Standards of Public Pools and Spas may be purchased at the Public Health Department, 1800 University Drive, room 219. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POOL OWNERS/MANAGEMENT COMPANY TO FOLLOW ALL MANDITORY FEDERAL, STATE OF TEXAS, AND ALL CITY OF FORT WORTH MINIMUM STANDARDS REGARDING THEIR POOL AND/OR SPAS. This includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and all other ordinances. For your facility to 'officially close' your pools, you will need to do the following. 1. You must lock all the gates or doors leading into the pool yard, and 2. Post 'POOL &/or SPA is CLOSED' signs on all the entrances of the pool / spa areas. - Otherwise, it appears you have not officially closed your pools and a citation will be issued for not complying with City of Fort Worth pool closure notice. To 'officially re-open' your pools / spas you will need to follow this procedure. 1. Correct all issues noted on the inspection notice. 2. You will need to call 817 871-7255, OR go to the City of Fort Worth's Code Compliance Health Center located at 1800 University Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76107 to PAY A RE-INSPECTION FEE designated by this inspection notice of _$_125________*. - You can pay now and get the re-opening inspection later when all items are corrected. 3. Double check with your maintenance person AND the inspection closure notice to make sure it has been COMPLETELY done before calling me for an appointment for re-inspections. - If the issues are not corrected AND I do the re-inspection, your pool / spas will continue to remain closed and you will AGAIN have to pay ADDITIONAL re-inspection fees for the new re-opening inspections. 4. After you've paid and determined your facility is ready for re-inspection, please call me for an appointment at 817 996-0492, Kerri Webb. - Otherwise, your pool has not been 'officially re-opened' and the next time a City of Fort Worth Health Pool/ Spa Inspector comes out and the pool/spa areas are open, the person in charge will be issued citations for failure to comply with all standards, ordinances, and codes pertaining to your pool / spa permits regardless of new mgmt / owner status. 5. Your facilities are Re-Inspected, notice is left stating your facility is Re-Opened by the City of Fort Worth's Pool / Spa Inspector. * As of October 2008, City Council determined a new fee schedule for permitted facility's who needed follow-up inspections. This Re-Inspection Fee will be required of any permitted facility closed due to any Eminent Safety, Sanitation, and Health Hazard. This fee was set at $125 per each permitted facility. - Examples If your property has five pools, then you have five permitted facilities. If only one is closed, then the re-inspection fee will be set at $125. If three are closed, then the fee to re-open all is $375. If you only want to open one pool, then you can pay $125, and we will come open that one and leave the others closed until you are ready to open the other ones. You will pay an additional re-inspection fee for when you want the others inspected.

Questions about WATERSBEND HOA:

We put a 1/2 fence panel up to block the trash cans from the street. It had been up for 20 yrs. This year we were told to take it down, because you can see the cans from the street. We were driving through the neighbor and saw several up the same way ours was and they are still up. What is the difference. Now we lock our trash in the back yard and have to have a key to pull it out every week. (lots of trouble) We live at 601 Destin Dr.

Who do I contact about putting a storage building in the back yard?
