I see that you can write in color and I would like to know how is there a tutorial here on CD that would give me step by step procedures?
also on how to post pics .
There are probably are, but here's a short primer.
Color: Use basic HTML code to change the color of your text. will make any text placed between the bracket sets appear red.
One of the most popular way to post pictures is to open a free acount at a third-party image host like Photobucket. Your then upload your images to your Photobucket account. In your City Data post, use the Insert image icon (mountain) and copy and paste the url of your Photobucket image in the dialogue box. Your image wil then appear in your CD post.
The instructions on posting pictures are here: PHOTOS AND PICTURES. To make your fonts colorful, you can do it the same as with any editor you're using elsewhere, just highlight the text you want colored and pick one after clicking on this icon over the box you're typing the post in:
Hi Michelle! It is really easy to change your font/format... Just look at the top of the box where you post and there are from left to right, the things you may use.
I like purple...
Also bold in black.
Some times I just want one word in italics.
Sometimes I just want something underlined.
But when I really wanna make a point, I use all three.
you can start off by just clicking on whatever you want to have written in any of these formats, click the b, i or u, and it will all be done that way.... or if just one thing, hilight it, and then click what you want to use.
When adding pics, be careful the copywrite rules...
I wish we could permanently set our setting to the colors and fonts that we like. It makes Cd easier to the eyes to read instead of reading black text after black text after black text. Would that possibly be something you guys could consider?? Or does anyone really care either way?
There have been times when I had trouble reading the text and I drag my curser over it and highlight it. That helps sometimes.
cheers, Aeroman
