Where China-style economic management has worked
Nonetheless, one African country known for its economic partnership with China is Ethiopia. Infrastructure, as well as industrial parks to boost the manufacturing sector, have been built as part of Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative, a multi-billion dollar spending plan to resurrect ancient trading routes centered on China.
I was surprised to see only passing reference to Rwanda. As president Kagame said, almost ten years ago, "the Chinese bring what Africa needs: investment and money for governments and companies." And in Rwanda, the Chinese money/influence is everywhere...not to the exclusion of all others, of course.
