T for Trade Days at Tannehill (this was a VERY popular event back in the late 70's to mid 80's), of course, as with everything else, Tannehill today is probably NOT what it was back then.

J - Jemison, Alabama, in the heart of peach-rich Chilton County.
According to Wikipedia: "The elementary school (has) .... only about 330 students enrolled. However, it ranks scholastically among the best of Alabama's schools. In late 2006, the test scores at Jemison Elementary outperformed all but one school in Alabama."

Hi, I am the current president of the JES PTO and a resident of Jemison. The enrollment at the elementary school is currently about 930 kids (K-4). And the test scores are still really high for the state of Alabama. We out performed all but one Vestavia Hills school this past year! Our programs are rated among the best. Jemison is a growing area too. So we really expect this level to continue to rise in the next several years.
There is a new intermediate school being built right now behind the elementary school. And there are definite plans for a new high school in Jemison to be built in the next few years. I understand the land has already been acquired for this project.
