Would it look weird in small town AL or GA for a man to wear shorts and t-shirts all summer?
I love doing that, weather permitting. (65 F or more)

Sounds nice!

I often find summer days that don't reach 80 F disappointing and occaisionally depressing.

Off topic somewhat, but Northern Alabama (Huntsville) is beautiful!

I grew up in Birmingham. Yeah, we had some helliatious thunderstorms and it's in tornado alley.
I lived in Helsinki, Finland for a while. Saunas are a very important part of a Finn's life. They just could not understand why I had no desire to go set (nekkid) in a sauna.I told them that I grew up in a sauna.
When my Finnish wife and I moved back to Birmingham from Helsinki, she found out PDQ why when we moved back to B'ham. Also, she was amazed at the thunderstorms we got and terrified of tornadoes. We now live in Panama City Beach and I really can't tell if it's anymore humid here than B'ham.
I would say that in the summertime, 97 degrees with 90% humidity is about normal.

It would look weird if you didn't. But please, don't wear sandals with socks - especially black knee high socks.

I live close to the ocean but it's HOT HOT HOT here! Thunderstorms usually stay north of us, and the nights are the same temp as the surf, 88 degrees usually. It's the most MISERABLE place in the summer, beyond horrible. The bugs here are unbelievable, but when I doive through highway 65 it didn't feel any worse than going on US1 to big pine.

It's ALLLLL personal!
What tallrick calls "horrible" I call "heaven"!!!
We have had an EXTREMELY humid fall/early winter!
We are usually dry this time of year.
But along with the humidity, it has been a bit warmer for this time of year as well.
Now I don't like humidity, but I'm like "I'll take this humidity ANYTIME
over temps under 80!!!!!!!!!!"
We've actually gotten alot of 70's which the humidity makes feel COLD!!!
Then again, in Tucson I remember 70's feeling cold cause of the dryness...
So basically I find anything under 80 cold! 80's are neutral.
90's feel nice, 100's feel warm & 110's ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!
So you see, to each his own!

About thunderstorms, yeah, FL rules for that too!
We have absolutely GLORIOUS light shows!!!
Of course it sucks for the power...

I would love to visit Bama one day...I just know I'll be too cold unless it's July or August!
