I am going to Montgomery Friday and Saturday. Any suggestions for where three families with kids can have dinner Friday night? No chains. Went to Tripadvisor and "India Palace" was the highest rated (the two other families are Indian and Pakistani, I think) but I got to wonder if my non-Indian kids will like it there.

Anything that is unique to the area? Semi-kid friendly? Something with maybe a historical bend?

Oh it is, it most certainly is.
