I am considering going into the medical field. My family and I plan on trying to relocate to AK within a couple of years and I am not sure how marketable i would be....I was considering nursing but I have already spent a couple of years in school for something else and dont wanna spend another 4 years or more on a nursing degree so my question is- How marketable is a medical assistant degree up there? I have seen that plenty of people move up there with a nursing job but what about MA?

Your earnings and growth potential as a Nurse would be worlds beyond that of a MA. Giant heaps of worlds beyond.

There are 2 places right here in Anchorage that teach Medical Assistant. I'd think the field will be over loaded fairly soon with all the newly certified people going out searching for work.
