I have a great idea, Forget the gas pipeline, as the boxcars/containers are empty, just fill them up with natural gas. Then send the train on its way. (Remember No-Smoking on/around the train some of the gas may leak out)

The problem is canada has to agree to this, back in the day when this nation had back bone we would have just taken that land from canada but thoes days are gone and a rail to washington is highly unlikely in my lifetime. The US became the US because of land grabs by force, now days you would be laughed at if you suggested that in any sort of professional forum.

Maybe some day someone should comes along an seizes your property for their use and ownership of.....how would you like that???
just because it is a country does not make it right any more than some one taking your possessions.
an yes not only do people laugh at people with this mentality but also note just how dishonest, lacking of honor and integrity people who think and act like this are.

Modern Age it's all about progress and generating jobs and collecting taxes. Alaska Railroad should do great in maneuvering new opportunity through Canada. ARR can go through park lands owned by Canada. It's for the People.

A "herd of taxes" nope...didn't know taxes grouped together in herds like horses or cows but...ehh..
Our constitution states the government may collect taxes...it does not how ever state anywhere that the government may seize another countries land.
We do have that pesky pieces of document for a reason.

Domestically the governement can take your property under eminent domain and you have no say in it. Most likely will be compensated for it though. Not much of a conciliation if your family has lived on the land for a hundred years and you don't want to move.
