Most the beef and pork come from Canada. Not sure about poultry.

Uh yeah. Glitch, those regulations are for the average person driving into Canada and not for cargo.

There are produce trucks that come here from Washington a few times each summer. And lots of non-consumable stuff comes up on trucks. My guy's flatbed for his pickup was trucked up. Those restrictions are for individuals and, I would think, are the limits above which you must pay customs taxes. There's probably a customs exemtion if you're driving through as a commercial transport company but I don't know.

Thanks buddy, good to know. I knew in a lot of remote villages things were flown in, but I guess it makes sense with the ports Alaska has.

That depends on a LOT! Are you flying and staying there, or taking a cruise, and what are your plans? What part of Alaska will you be going to?

Yeah, bring money, but remember hardly any tax on any thing. Some place charge on just the 1st $500, and then it's none after that. I buy a lot of ivory, so It's nice.

Dress in layers in the sun it might be 70 and in the shade drop to 30 depending where you're at , near the water or valleys, it changes a lot. So dress where you can take off and then put back on again. Have fun , we all do.

It would seem that if the OP actually wanted relevant answers, she would provide less evasive responses to the questions asked of her. It seems very ODD that she absolutely must move to Alaska, of all places. Sounds fishy (pardon the pun).
