Took this video two years ago early in the morning at the Lake in front of my cabin... Keep in mind that it is early around 5 AM or so and I haven't had my coffee in large amounts yet!

My cabin is about 100 feet behind me. This is almost due North of McKinley, not the side of the Mountain most people see.

To the left of the Mountain when looking over the lake, about twenty +- miles to the south is the "Magic Bus" of "Into the Wild" fame, where McCandless died and his diary was made into a book then a movie.

I have been to the bus. After the movie came out all my family wanted us (wife and I) to hike out there and take pictures.

Yeah, some of the movie was shot there as well as elsewhere.

Last time I was at the bus was a year or two before he was there. No interest in going back unless it is with a dozer to drag it out to the road.

Ahhh.. once you do get that coffee what a great place to enjoy it... I try to start my day this time of year watching the migration behind my house with my cup of coffee... great place Star... you're a lucky man... hard work does pay off.. and like you said.. especially knowing what you're doing.... have a great Monday everyone...
