They were mighty hungry this morning so I took a video with my iphone. They actually landed on the phone a couple times.

When they are flocking like this and hungry all you need to do is walk up to the feeder and stand still. After a little bit if you have food in your hand one of them will land and then others will see it's ok.

I had up to 6 on me at once.

Chickadees are more skittish but the brave ones will come in and give it a try. Gray Jays, (if you have them, we don't), will eat out of your hand pretty easily.

Put your feeder in some bushes where the birds will have cover
