I am not sure exactly what the Davis-Bacon scale is,it was explained to me once but I forgot, lol. But if you question call the local union hall for the field you want to be in and ask that way your getting first hand info. and have a chance to ask all your questions about that union and work in the area.

Things have finally started to come together and life is great. My husband loves his job and is quickly moving up the ladder. This weekend we are going to do some salmon fishing since we can now enjoy some free time. My boys are pretty busy they seem to be finding odd jobs almost weekly to put money in their pockets so that has helped keep them from being bored. School starts here 8/20 and they are looking forward to it.

Default I have a home in Central, AK

Just came across this site - looking for a place to try and communicate with folks who may be moving to Alaska because I am trying to sell my house and property in Central. Loved living there - had to move to Fairbanks for work. Sounds like you are doing well in Central. If anyone is interested in looking at my property it is listed at craigslist.com -under Alaska - Real Estate - July 19 - MUST SELL $69,000 HOUSE W/FIVE ACRES.

To MM - maybe I'll see 'ya sometime in Central. Will be going up there sometime in the next month to work on the house. Where did you move from? You could e-mail me outside of this forum at akhouseforsale@hotmail.com

We are here this weekend in Valdez and LOVING IT!!! What a great place and the fishing is SUPER. We have almost caught our limit today and it is just 1:15pm here and we are going to be here tomorrow as well. I am thinking that this will be one of those places that we return to yearly. For those of you that are visiting Alaska check out Valdez I don't think you will be disappointed. The people here are so friendly and the local prices aren't bad either.

Hey I saw your post at the PO I wanted to ask that you mention the school in you ad as well. Don't know if you have kids or not but it is something people might want to know, some might think there is no school so it might be an added bonus just in case the people don't know.

I was there last weekend, Megansmom. I didn't go fishing though, my niece and her friend wanted to go spend a night at their friend's house and I stayed at a hotel. On our way back to Anchorage, we drove up to Paxson and went across the Denali Highway to Cantwell, we had a good trip.
