I noticed another thread about Unisea, but I didn't want to necro such an old post.

So I applied and interviewed with Unisea in southern California just very recently and wanted to share my experience and also ask some questions in general. The application and interview process was quite a breeze, most of the 15 or so applicants in the room for the orientation looked like walk-ins, nor bothered to look professional and the interview was quite short and easy. (some people couldn't interview because they didn't speak english) I've done quite a bit of research so I know all about the job conditions and the like as well about the company except for a few things.

1. How likely is it for a hire offer from Unisea for the A season?
I got the feeling from the interview they weren't too ah "picky" based on the applicants in the room. He mentioned several times the response would be about a few weeks for a response. I interviewed at the end of Oct so I still have some time.

2. How much does a processor typically make in the A season?
The interviewer said that generally one would work at least 1000 hours to be able to qualify for the benefits in just 1 season. I did some calculations and if 30% of those hours is overtime one would make roughly 8800 or so, is my calculations on the mark? and is anyone who has done work as a processor for Unisea or any other company able to verify an actual real number amount?

Thanks for your time.

I recently went to an event on the 6th of November and also I found the interview process quite easy. I.was told that if I dont get a call back that I would be placed on a list for later .

How long does it normally take for Unisea to call you after the interview, my old boss told they called for employment verification last week.
