A few years ago this thread (
Given a home in Central,AK planning on moving there ) on City-Data popped up and a lot of us followed her and her families adventure moving to Alaska.
I recently was digging around some of my old subscribed threads and looked for updates on what she and her family has been up to, but it looks like she hasn't posted since 2012.
Just wondered if they're still calling Alaska home or if they went back to the lower 48. I think she new some people on here personally.

I just read her blog yesterday, and also wanted to know if she and her family are still in Alaska. I am also from SC, and have been interested in a change for a while. Any use for another Real Estate Appraiser?

Clay, I'm an Alaskan living in SC and the only thing I can say is it's a BIG change. If you love SC weather you probably won't like Alaska. We're just waiting till our youngest graduates high school in 3 yrs then we're either moving back to Alaska or Northern Idaho.

They were living back in Virginia (West Virginia?) for a while but bought property and moved to north-central Minnesota. Haven't heard any news from her in quite some time, just that they had found their property.
