I can do that, I'll just find a place I can get a pickup load from for the muddiest parts.

Thanks

And as mentioned on Facebook: right now with weight restrictions the trucks can't haul as much per load, which means more loads. Give it a few more weeks for everything to dry out and the weight restrictions to be lifted.
**** weight restrictions. I understand the point of them but I am wanting to get some concrete delivered but can't due to the weight restrictions. The company I was dealing with said maybe April 15th? Is there anyway to check on this? I am going to call later today and see if they know anything yet.

CC Enterprise hooked me up with a pickup bed full of gravel. Didn't go as far as I thought it would, have to get some more next weekend.

What did that cost you?

minimum charge is 35.00 and that is what it cost me. I thought it wasn't bad, plus he has a lot of knowledge, which he has no problem answering questions. Seemed like a good guy. His name is Chuck

Some of the roads around here are 50% of axle rating weight limits... Most are 75%. Supposed to snow tomorrow or the next day... So not looking like the roads around here are going to dry out anytime soon.

$35 for a pickup bed sounds like a pretty good deal. Did the pickup bed automatically dump? I imagine it would have to for that price?

Weight restrictions aren't lifted up here either, but the concrete company would of been able to deliver me a half load (~5 yards) tomorrow. However, I cancelled today last minute. I was looking at too many pictures of bad fails of concrete up here (permafrost) and am going to build an adjustable wooden floor instead. I had plenty of gravel packed down and insulation on top of that so I maybe would of been OK but didn't want to risk it. New learning curve building things up here compared to down in Homer.

Back on topic, Glad you found your gravel and I wouldn't mind finding a guy that delivers pickup truck size loads up here myself.
