I am moving to Barrow, I like to shoot. Is there a place to train, or just to go shooting. Looking for like minded individuals.

It's dang near impossible to find gun lovers with lots of guns in Alaska.

There are no gun ranges in Barrow. We always went out to the "Shooting Station" at Point Barrow. That's what they used to call it. It was where all the duck hunters went. Just ask around when you get there.

In Korea, the gun oil froze on the rifles. I guess that doesn't happen with modern oils.

Synthetics will allow your gun to function in temperatures colder than you want to be out in.
