There are calves and cows and goats, but there aren't any farms the way he seems to think there are. There are some ranchers, one raises beefalo and has some pure buffalo to cross-breed with. That's about the only critters on Kodiak that the bears don't mess with. But it would be very interesting to see him try to use one for a pack animal.

If my memory serves me right, there used to be quite a herd of 'domestic' cattle on Sitkalidik, and a variety of people spent years trying to round them up. Plain old cattle - with absolutely no experience of humans on horseback, charging in every which direction instead of being herded. Was quite a show from what I heard.

Maybe Lone Traveler (even though he has 2 mates) can round up the atomic chipmunks, elephants, bears and the rest of the animals and open a traveling circus.

Between the bear wizz and him smelling like vinegar, he's safe. No animal, or person, will want to get near him. He just might chase the bears to Canada with his odor, so why bring weapons?
