Well I'm thinking of heading up to Wasilla Tuesday afternoon. I hope I make it!

I'm landing in Anch about 1:00 PM and am heading directly for Wasilla. Need to do a little shopping at Chimo Guns! Also hoping it has warmed up by that time. I really have no desire to crawl into my vehicle at 30 below and hope it starts. No way to plug it in where it's parked. But if it does warm up will the highway become even more slick than it is?

My guess is that they will sand it big time by then, temps should be in the 20's Tuesday.

20 above will be 50 to 60 degrees warmer than what I've been in this last 2 weeks. Will be a treat! And the traffic shouldn't be too bad that time of day.

Oh, Chimo's, not sure if he was the owner or not, but I got talking with him the other day and he is from Graylord, MI a good number of years ago, not too far from where I lived...small world.

One other thing about the trip to and from Anch. Moose! They are all over the place.
I was just reminded of them because I can't let my dogs out this evening due to 3 darn moose have bedded down in our yard.

Combine the fact that they put virtually no anti-skid down makes it a death trap.

I know that has nothing to do with traffic but I feel better now
Ahhh which one is this....the wife and I....LOL

Yes...I had just sent you a DM when I saw this post! Heck if anyone else is around send me a DM. I'll buy dinner if anyone wants to meet up in Wasilla. I'll probably get a room for the night so I don't have to drive all the way home that night. I'm sure the Seward/Sterling Highways are full of moose and ice also. Plus I'd be tired as all get out.
