Hi All,

I lived in Corrales about 10 years ago before marriage and kids and loved it there. After a 10-year stint in Denver, I am practically begging hubby to move our family back to my perceived rural/idyllic bliss in New Mexico.

I am pretty fixated on living either in Corrales or in the North Valley/Los Ranchos. I'd love hearing from anyone who has had any experiences with the schools serving these communitites, as the quality of public education will play a big role in whether or not we decide to move there.

We will have two kids in elementary school and possibly one still in h.s, depending on how quickly we relocate. Of course, I'm interested in hearing about the middle schools too! It is important to us that the schools are challenging and high-achieving, and we're also willing to shuttle our kids a few miles (but not too many!) to charter schools, if they turn out to be a better option.

We are planning a scouting trip out there in about a month so any input/feedback on which schools we should consider and visit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
