I just read that this wonderful man died yesterday. He was the publisher of the Albuquerque Journal since 1971, when he took over the paper at just 24 years of age after his father died. I love how he seemed to know most, if not all, of the employees, and the article mentions that at one time over 100 had been w/ the company over 25 years. Sounds like he was a great guy w/ principles. The kind of person you just don't meet anymore. Hopefully the paper will continue w/ the honest ethics that he believed in.

Met Mr. Lang ten years-ago at a Journal function, kind of an open house, concerning the future of newspapers. Nice man.

RIP, great man from an Albuquerquean living in St. Louis for a bit longer before moving back home. Mr. Lang was a pioneer for stopping public corruption and demanding transparent government.
