Someone over there should watch some SEC games and see how modern football is played.
I was pulling for them to get Lane Kiffin -- despite the glaring character issues he would have been a good match and brought some excitement to the place. Too much $, I know ...
UNM needs a fix across the board, but most urgently on offense with the erasure of that silly option. So they got two defensive guys. I wish Danny Gonzales and Rocky Long well and will be among the few to show up to see how it goes. A college town needs a real football team. It could happen here.

Hope the punter is back, he is great (seriously).
We always wish them well as X NM residents and my husband was an usher for UNM sports for about 5 years. WE had not heard the news: Let me add, yes, every college town needs a real football team; too bad not all towns can have a "real" team or a winning team. Think about us, here is NWA and we are stuck in the SEC. Nothing wrong with the SEC but we don't belong there. I guess next season might be better for UNM and us as well.
