Default Corrales, NM -- water quality/pollution?

Considering purchasing a home in Corrales, NM. Searching for information on water quality (well water), water contamination from poor septic systems, and also pollutants from nearby Intel plant (Rio Rancho).

While I have read numerous water quality reports from both the federal and state geology departments I am interested to learn what the local perspective is. Thank you.

Corrales is pretty rural. It is very clean and one of the highest priced suburbs of Albuquerque. I wouldn't think you would face too many enviromental problems in Corrales.

Best of Luck!

I am also interested in the well water there. Is there anyone who lives in Corrales (or one of the other nearby areas that depend on individual wells) who can speak to the quality of the well water and the quality and likely longevity of the wells? Are people having to drill deeper or re-drill? My experience with well water in other places (smell of the water and need to drill deeper) makes me a little leery of becoming dependent solely on an acre (or half-acre) for something as important as water. Thanks.
