Actually I was thinking White Castle. I remember when they had a few even in Miami. On occasion we have even bought their frozen ones. Not as good, but a good nostalgia booster...

More than 30 years ago I worked for PNM, and one day went out to take a look at a few energy efficient houses under construction. They were among the first being built, and were surrounded by miles of Mesa, with stunning views of the mountains. "you ought to buy some land here," the builder said. "this is the city of the future."

Boy, do I wish I had taken his advice!

Well, if it makes you feel better, the chances are high that you probably would have been better off financially if you put that money in an account. There are thousands of lots with no access to electricity and water... There is, I believe a yearly auction on lots with past due taxes...

All them lots with no utilities, after DR Horton and Centex homes buys all them lots out to develop! Give it some time before Rio Rancho will be back to normal with sprawl, then values of properties will go through the roof.

Just like what happened to Henderson, NV.

Recent studies suggest otherwise:

No, not at all... Not sure why you say that. But Rio Rancho and or New Mexico is not for everyone...

Default Who is responsible for maintaining the dirt roads in Rio Rancho?

I sometimes see someone grading them, but I don't know if its a private person or the city. My husband thinks the city is responsible, but isn't sure. so... anyone know?
