I'm still around. After my debacle last year where I had a job secured then lost it I gave up for a bit. I started applying again late last year and have had 3 interviews at a large, local company. Apparently it's down to me and 1 other person. Here's to hoping my nearly decade long mission might be accomplished soon.

I was denied that job after a long wait (2 months for them to decide). Have been getting zero calls lately. Seems the market in ABQ has been slowing down significantly based on the number of postings I'm seeing now compared to previous years.
