Hello to all:
I am planing to move within the next year or so.
I am wondering what the driving jobs landscape looks like.
I mean, are there a lot of driving jobs in either city or nearby?
What's the weather like in winter.
I live in Chicago and I am ready to say good bye to the cold. Don't get me wrong; Chicago is beautiful and I love this city. But the winter time here is brutal. And in the summer, too hot and humid.
Granted, it hasn't been that bad this summer. But, for the most part, that is how it is here.
I appreciate your help and responses.

There seems to be a pretty solid need for Hot Shot drivers, but other than that I have no idea.

If you work as a driver in Northern NM you will have to deal with some steep grades and ice and snow in winter. You will get good use of your chains. The good side is, winter is a shorter season than the upper midwest unless you are driving way up in the mountains.

Summers are hot, but not humid.

As far as driving jobs, it's not my area but with the intersection of two interstates in Albuquerque and it being a major distribution center for the state, I'm sure you could rustle something up.

Thanks ABQ:

I am certain it's nothing compared to Chicago's weather.
I almost certain, at the most, it's like that for a couple of months. As opposed to over here, which runs for almost 5 months of bad weather.
Thanks again to all.
