Does Comcast also offer phone service bundled in with the cable and internet services?
Currently, no. I can see them offering this in the next 12-24 months though.
Anyway, if you're looking for high speed internet access, your TV viewing source will probably play a factor in your decision. If you are a Dish Network/DirecTV subscriber or plain rabbit-ears viewer, Qwest DSL is probably the best bang for your buck ($27-$42/mo. depending on your setup). If you are a cable (Comcast) TV subscriber, then Comcast's rates become more comparable to Qwest. Comcast gives a $15/month discount off their $57 rate to their TV subscribers.
I find it interesting that there is little, if any variation in pricing between the various companies nationwide - your pricing in ABQ is pretty much the same as my pricing in Tampa, FL - and we have completely different, totally unrelated providers.
hmmnn, can you say price fixing?
Meanwhile, how is the DirectTV coverage out there?
Meanwhile, how is the DirectTV coverage out there?
I have had direct tv since they started in many different locations in NM. It has always been great. You can get some interferance with some snow but there are things you can do to remedy that a bit.
If you are a NFL fan it is the way to go. In NM the cowboys and broncos get all of the air time. So direct is a must if you are a fan of another team.
