My fiance and I will be moving to albuquerque in the next few months. I was wondering if any person knows a good mechanic that services audis, but not an audi dealer. We have a good mechanic now, but we can't pack him with us . Thanks in advance for any help

I'm in the same boat and did a search for this on other forums (audiworld.com). The two that kept popping up are Speedlab and Hans Whittlers. I haven't personally used either, but that's probably a reasonable place to start.

Hans Wittler's Automitive‎
121 Elizabeth Street Northeast, Albuquerque, NM 87123
(505) 294-7684‎

Old family friends of mine. Hans was from Germany, now deceased , but his sons run the show. Service Audi, VW, M-Benz, BMW. If it's German, they know it, they live it, it, they breathe it.

I went to check out German Motorwerke at 6712 4th Street just now, I need a software update and the price was much better then the dealer. I also did a search online and came up with some very positive reviews for them.

I'm not sure if he does Audis, but the best mechanic in town is Bobby Joe's Auto on Quincy. He won "Best Ethical Small Businessman" a couple of years ago, dinner with the Governor, the whole bit. Fabulous people, top notch work, good prices - give them a call and see if they can help you. I've recommended upwards of 40 people to them over my years here, and every one of them is still a customer and grateful that I sent them there.

Bobby Joe's neighbor, Midwest Auto Electric, does a great job on my VW (I've seen Audi 1.8Ts in his shop as well).
