What would I recommend? I recommend you lay off the alcohol and spend your money on frozen yogurt or something or expensive chocolate.

Seriously, there are lots of people who are highly sensitive to ethanol, plenty of them Asians, because of genetics and a differential in certain enzymes in their systems that limit their ability to metabolize alcohol. Look it up for yourself, lots of info out there.

I apologize if I sound preachy. Not my intent and I am by no means a teetotaler but if you are sensitive to the stuff, better to recognize it early and just enjoy life without booze rather than hurt yourself.

Maybe that's good advice. I've drunk in the past, though, and didn't recognize this odd effect. It actually feels like something new.

Besides the amount of experience you have had drinking two other possible factors could be the health of your liver or the existence of any other mood-altering chemicals in your system.

I have an average tolerance for alcohol under most circumstances. But if I am dehydrated and/or on an empty stomach I can feel buzzy after about 2 oz (1/2 glass) of wine or beer. I'm not petite...5'11" and 140 pounds.

it doesn't even take a few sips of bourbon to get me good and buzzed.

start with wine coolers and/or bud light. almost nobody can get drunk from bud light

Wait, you said the beverage you drank was 8% alcohol and Bud Light is definitely not 8%. What exactly did you drink?

I had one of the Bud Light "Rita" drinks--"Lime-a-Rita," "Strawberry-Rita," "Mango-Rita," etc. I felt odd after just a few sips.
