Hi everyone. I am a 29 year old male. 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. I'm not in the greatest shape but not terrible either. I had a L5-S1 lumbar fusion 2 weeks ago due to an ongoing injury that occurred when I was in the Army 7 years ago. Aside from a healthy diet and exercise does anyone have an recommendations on things I can take/do to make the healing process quick and effective as possible. I'm open to trying an type of vitamins or remedies or anything else that could help. Thanks!

Walk as much as you can/as your doctor tells you.

Seriously, it will make it better for you.

Thank you, I have been walking around a lot. Started with short walks up and down the hallway. Now I am able to take short walks to the end of my street and back. Eventually I want to be able to walk 2 miles a day and start swimming.

Hope you will do very good with this surgery. I have a back issue for over 60 yrs but no surgery. I would make sure about antioxidants like Vit C, Vit E and I love grape seed ex. I take a lot of supplements and live with complications from a hip replacement.

You are young and keep walking and listen to your doctor. Keep weight in good place, extra weight doesn't help anything.
