I have always found it interesting how Nicaragua is so much safer than it's neighbours to the north.
Guatemala and especially El Salvador and Honduras are extremely dangerous and gangs run much of the country. Nicaragua which borders Honduras on the other hand has a murder rate about one-tenth of Honduras. It also suffers from income inequality and even more grinding poverty..........it is the second poorest country in the Americas after Haiti.
The American Dream is our Standard of Living which allows US to dream. But that has been deteriorated by thoughtless foreigners breaking our Immigration Laws and lowering our Standard of Living to the country they came from.
