Multitudes of people with little children from San Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala have entered Mexican territories on the way to the United States of America, since yesterday, due to hunger and lack of jobs in these countries. I fear that Mexico will use force against them.....just wondering how they entered Mexico, since they have a wall between Guatemala and Mexico. The USA is getting their armed forces ready to shut the border adjacent to Mexico, and have asked Mexico not to let them continue forward.......

Very surprised to see that no one has brought this issue forward......!!!!!

There´s no wall there, just a flimsy metal fence.

This is what a border wall and fence built to actually control illegal crossings looks like.

El Salvador is the country, San Salvador is the city. The vast majority are from Honduras. Some of the Hondurans who have passports are being given asylum by Mexico, perhaps 10% of the total. Mexico is resisting allowing more to cross the border, but some are still finding ways to cross. Mexico also has a fear of having to take care of the refugees.

At least Mexico doesn't have the fear of the refugees wanting to settle there.

Capitalism at work.

Create a system where only a few have, and many don't, you get results like this.

We don't need a wall between the US and Canada. There are crossing points and they are very well staffed and the guards check everyone carefully. Passports are required.

We need to do something about all these people coming to the US illegally and overwhelming our system. Probably a wall is impossible due to the uneven terrain and the private property that much of it would stand on, among other reasons.

Maybe the countries should make a deal and all contribute money to resettle these people somewhere--not in the USA. We've taken in far too many over the years. Let Mexico deal with it for once instead of just allowing them to pass though. Find jobs for them in Mexico, resettle them. They want a better life? A life without fear of crime or gangs? We've got the same problems in the US so it's not going to do them any good to come here. Set up something for them in Mexico. Or grant them some land and let them start a new country--is that impossible? Get together and buy up some land in Mexico and let them all go there and start over. But they definitely have to stop coming here and wrecking our country, straining our system, taking our entry level jobs away. We have rights too!

As this thread evolves, it looks very clearly like a political thread that should be moved to the Political Forum.
