IMO
What bothers me is the fact that liberals do not see that socialism is not working any where it exists and people are escaping it to better their lives if they can. but they are going about it illegally, accustomed to breaking laws the have no intention of fallowing.
America was great when we were more industrialized ,Not when we compromised our industrial strength ,
Years ago we might have been able to help these countries dealing with the problems they are now running from. but due to democrat policy we are weakened .
We had been known as the worlds policeman, having pushed back communism and aggressive governments invasions .
So far as American Mexicans are concerned I have no problem ,and to some degree they object to the illegals as well because they put a strain on their own jobs as well . the illegals behaviors put a mark on the whole community ,
It is an insult to those that legally came into this country .
I have known illegals and what they do and have no intention of becoming legal but use their status to abuse the system , a system the democrats developed , not because they care abut the down trodden but for the power of the vote and using them as leverage .
If any thing needs to be addressed it is "why they are leaving south America" .
Someday, all of this is going to be the other way around...Americans fleeing to get out of the U.S.
Nah...even during the Great Recession, that never happened at a large rate.
When you're in the top 20 most developed countries in the word, it's kind of a given that a mass exodus similar to Venezuela, Central America, Syria, etc. is next to impossible.
Well, apparently a 4th caravan left El Salvador. This caravan thing is becoming quite a habit.
At least this kid has some common sense. He’s making it clear he doesn’t want to just live in the USA, but also to assimilate. Hasn’t arrived yet and already has the American flag on hand.
In an effort for the Republican Party to create a reason to vote Republican, they have REALLY created a story now...at first I thought it was just Republican campaign strategy for Trump to talk about this non-stop just for the election.
But, as the story has constant attention from the Republicans and Media, I think it is creating more people over there to get in those lines and start walking too.
According to different sources, paying a smuggler can cost $ 5-10,000 and even at this price there are no guaranties that they get in the US. Coming with a caravan is free and much safer. They can get help, food and a place for the night from the Mexicans.
For the others, $ 10,000 in a country like Honduras is a great deal of money, I can't imagine of them be dirt poor if they can somehow pay that.
I just keep thinking if they'd turn all that money, effort, and energy into changing/improving their own homeland the results could be better, and permanent.
Fight for your country or abandon it. There is a choice.

Who in Mexico is giving 3000+ free food and housing every night? These are the elements of the story that make no sense at all...and make people believe it is all just one big propoganda compaign by Republicans....it doesn't make sense.
The other big issues is they are highly televised...it's ridiculous that they can film a group for 70 days or whatever it takes...and then make it into a campaign issue implying they are just walking in. They can't do that, that has never been legal. It is impossible.
Again, this is what makes the story just weird and illogical. I'd also fault our media for not questioning basic things like that...instead they drum it up in a pro-Trump way....They're coming! Vote Republican! Without actually questioning any of the important issues.
There are daily reports on television, both in English and Spanish, showing tremendous support by the ordinary citizens of Mexico for the caravan. They don't get a room at the local Motel 6, but have a save place to rest up in churches, parks, parking lots and the locals offer food, water, even medical care for the injured.
What is at stake here, if they get in and allowed to stay, then the next caravan could be 30 thousand, and they will keep coming until their home countries become abandoned and the US is overburdened.
If you think the US has a housing shortage now, just see what happens as the caravans keep coming and coming and coming.
