In NY, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans seem to get along well with Black Americans.

To get into Howard University, a school for colored people, they held up a brown paper bag and said if you are blacker than this paper bag you cannot enter this school. Sororities and fraternities did the same thing at other HBCUs. Or you had to be light enough for your blue veins to go through.
Not to mention that Black People could legally be denied employment and jobs until the 60s and 70s. They basically held the same agricultural and domestic jobs as there slave ancestors did. It amazes me when people who know nothing about African Americans presume to tell us horror stories about racism elsewhere, while blissfully ignoring racism in the US
I’d say most of Latin America is a self haven compared to the US with its police and hate groups that kill Blacks. Not to mention the dangers of severely segregated inner cities, were gang violence kills many people.
