What a f****** joke. They are in there checking out the chicks in a warm bar on the tax payers dime. It looks like people in Anchorage need to cut funding to the PD, saying they have to many police on the roads and the crime is at an all time low. Why not spend that time and money on busting dope dealers and gangs, oh that is to much work and to dangerous. Time to put up more cameras to protect yourself and keep and eye on police.

I tend to agree. Anchorage isn't exactly crime free. Looks like their time could be spent monitoring gang activity and drug dealing, instead of sitting in a warm bar.

It's a revenue device. Do they need money that bad?

Haha silly - Undercover cops at the bar busting drunk people. Next thing will be undercover cops at the Busch Co. busting naked women.

Thought I'd heard everything.....they should be out on the streets making sure drunks don't drive home. Are they going to start arresting clumsy people like me who are sober but trip over their own feet?

You think that's bad? Just last year the Indiana Supreme Court ruled that cops could come into your home for any reason at any time and the homeowner has no right to stop them.

That's right, if you live in Indiana a cop can just walk right into your home unannounced for any damn reason at all.

Court: No right to resist illegal cop entry into home

Get ready for the police state and without an international conflict there is nothing to stop it. At least nazi germany had a major war to deal with that slowed their social agenda (who knows how bad it would have been if they had been alowed to go unimpeded). This is just the start, our govt has learned from the mistakes of hitler and wont make the same mistakes he made. Our population is too huge for any sort of cohesive resistance to the govt and any one persons vote is statisticly insignificant.

I'd imagine there are a few folks that will blast anyone right back out the door if they come barging in un-announced. Even if they claim to be the cops.

As for the Anc cops hanging out in bars. This seems a bit out of hand. Maybe one or two would be justifiable. But if they have a whole squad of deadbeats bar hopping that would be a waste.

There have been several incidents of people going to prison for defending their homes from armed intruders who happened to be cops. A man in Mississippi named Corey Maye was sentenced to the death penalty for killing a cop while defending his daughter. And now there are criminals posing as cops invading homes. The Supreme Court ruled years ago that the police have no duty to protect citizens and a lot of police departments are taking that to heart.
